This popular dining venue is one of the oldest places for authentic rijstafel, a delicious invention by the Dutch colonists in Indonesia. Ten small dishes are served with a mound of rice, enough for a taste of everything from flavorful satays to coconut curries to chicken in tamarind sauce to salty pickled vegetables. Everything prepared by the friendly family that has run this place for 25 years is cooked with care and is delicious. You can also order regular meals of just one dish, though it can be hard to choose from among all the selections.
