Not much made it through the Great San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1906, but this bar did. There is a great story behind that. Reportedly, local firemen (loyal customers) diverted water from other locations in order to save this place. It still has that same customer loyalty today. Founded in 1861, it has as much history as it does popularity. Come for live blues and all the charm of a tradition that is over a century old. Only cash is accepted. Review © 2009, Wcities |
