Glowing stained-glass windows, a giant palm ceiling fan, and a brass-trimmed mahogany bar dating from 1907 give this pub a cozy, weathered atmosphere within which to sample its huge list of beers, a handful of which are brewed on the premesis. Two happy hours (4p-6p, midnight-1a) bring prices as low as $1 a beer. A pub menu that includes Gumbo is also served.
