This modest Union Square hotel is a historic landmark that dates back to 1908. There's nothing extraordinary about the rooms, nor does it feature many amenities or accept credit catds. It does, however, offer very clean and comfortable affordable rooms in a prime San Francisco location. It is within walking distance of the Financial District, Davies Symphony Hall, and the Opera House, and other popular venues. The rates are so low, in fact, a week-long stay in a double room here runs around the same price as a single night at neighboring hotels.
