Located near downtown Oakland, the Stork Club is a neighborhood favorite. It is a homey and hip place to grab a drink, relax, and play pool. Visit during Happy Hour, Tuesday through Friday 4pm-7pm, for specials on domestic beers and well drinks. The crowd is generally young and hip. The Stork Club doubles as a venue attracting both local and touring bands. Admission, for nights of shows, is generally five dollars. Shows start at 9pm Sundays through Wednesdays and at 10pm the rest of the week. All shows are 21 and over. Drop in on Sunday nights, for "Rock n Roll Social," starting at 6pm, for a night of live music. Admission for "Rock n Roll Social" is two dollars. The Stork Club is located amidst various galleries featuring local artists. Every first Friday of the month, these galleries host "Art Murmur" offering free admission, starting at 7pm.
