The facade of this excellent eatery seems a bit stark compared to the Edwardian splendor of some of its neighbors, but the food is anything but. Traditional Japanese food is the order of business here and it is rendered with flair (making even such classics as teriyaki spiced with extra ginger, sing). You will also find bento boxes filled with toothsome morsels of seafood, chicken or beef along with tart pickled vegetables and aromatic rice.
