This restaurant is an old world type of bar and restaurant, consisting of a 64-seat dining room adorned with dark wood with a splash of orange, blue-gray drapes and vintage posters. The restaurant has kept the name Winterland from the skating ring and music venue that used the space previously. It serves dishes like the Jerusalem Artichoke soup and has a menu full of avante-garde food like Braised Rabbit with Artichoke, Wild Mushrooms and Crushed Almonds. Although it is not your everyday fare, it's definitely worth a try. Make sure you walk over to the horse shaped bar, where the Gosser beer and vodka flow like water. Review © 2009, Wcities |
