Coastal Mexico Flavor

Located on the fourth floor of Westfield San Francisco Center, Zazil offers traditional dishes from the Caribbean coast of Mexico. The seasonal menu includes many Mayan-inspired entrées such as their Pollo con Huitlacoche and Cochinita Pibil, using ingredients imported straight from Mexico. Though children may be hard-pressed to find something to order on a menu populated largely by seafood dishes, the entrées at Zazil are inventive and refreshing. The front of the restaurant opens directly into the mall, so the noise level can get very high on weekends when the mall is full. Although reservations are not required, the wait can get upwards of 45 minutes during peak hours, but the elegance of the dishes and the fun, marine-inspired décor make it worth the wait.
