Beacon Hill

Seattle
Named after the more famous Beacon Hill in Boston, this area boasts spectacular views of downtown Seattle and, on a clear day, Mount Rainier. The area's population has changed several times with waves of immigration, and today it is largely Asian, as illustrated by the frequency of Chinese, Filipino, Japanese and Vietnamese businesses along the streets. Home to the headquarters of Amazon.com, the city also contains Jefferson Park and Dr. Jose Rizal Park, public areas available for golfing and viewing downtown.
