Beaux Arts is a very small, wealthy area of metropolitan Seattle. Originally founded as an art colony and named after the french Academy of Beaux Arts, residents of the town today enjoy narrow, tree-lined streets and a private beach on Lake Washington. The town has only several hundred residents and no town hall. Originally, membership in the Beaux Arts Village was bestowed for a small fee. Now it comes with ownership of a home here.
