A Seattle designer who's done well enough to open shops in New York and San Francisco, Stenderu specializes in brightly hand-painted casual wear. Think tie-dyed T-shirts, only darker and more skillfully rendered than the typical backyard product. The shop is full of clunky jewelry and bric-a-brac, but it's the vivid duds that really catch the eye. A single piece, no matter how small, is sufficient to make a very loud statement.
