Tucked between Pine and Pike streets a block from Pike Place Market, this restaurant seats only about 30 people. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. The continual chatter of the regular customers mixes with the thump of Zydeco music and the flash of sign language, used by most of the staff. Chef/owner Danny Delacambre came to Seattle because of its large deaf and deaf-blind community. Much of his able staff is hearing-impaired, as he is. Traditionally prepared and extremely fragrant, the Cajun dishes include Blackened Catfish, Gumbo and Jambalaya. Review © 2009, Wcities |
