Burien is a bit off the beaten track for most visitors, and perhaps for good reason, but this enormous 185-acre park, which King County gave to the new city of Burien in 1996, is worth the trip for its diverse array of activities. The many hiking trails cross lushly wooded hills to a stunning two-mile stretch of beach. It is a perfect place to spend a morning if you have an evening flight out of SeaTac. Review © 2009, Wcities
