An outer ring of manufacturing complexes and warehouses surround what has a become a largely residential area in the last decade. South Park, a nearby neighborhood, is often considered to be part of Georgetwon, whose growth was fueled by workers moving to the area during World War II to be close to the Boeing Field and the nearby shipyards.
