If you're looking for Italian food downtown, look no further than this gem, which offers upscale atmosphere at less than atmospheric prices and a classic Italian menu charged with contemporary energy. The decor is colorful but spare, the ambiance festive but subdued enough for conversation. Try the substantial portabello mushroom appetizer with polenta and any of the lamb dishes.
