This perennial favorite is always crowded, with a noisy "happy family" atmosphere. Dark green woodgrain tables accommodate only 36 diners, so reservations are recommended. Start with Wagyu beef carpaccio or salt cod soufflé fritters. Try the innovative pizzas - fig, fennel & parmigiano. Try the locally-sourced eggs baked on Salmoriglio sauce with Caciocavallo, capers and Sicilian. anchovy fillets. Don't skip Verdi di Nonna ("grandma's greens"). On Wednesdays, go for the Market Dinner, a special 3-course menu devised from that day's Columbia City farmers market. Delicious daily desserts and cheese selections presented on the blackboard.
