There are at least two other shops in town named for the plume on Cyrano de Bergerac's hat, but they've got nothing on the fabulousness of this Capitol Hill shop. Garish nail polish, poufy scarves, snug hats, chunky sunglasses and delicate jewelry take up half this shop, while cheap party clothing for pretty young things, male and female, occupies the other half. If you're looking for glittery, stretchy, synthetic tops, miniskirts and trousers, look here. But the serious shopper usually heads for the extensive shoe section at the front of the store, where solid meets trendy in the form of boots, oxfords, loafers and strappy dance shoes.
