Alki Beach may not be the Mediterranean, but inside this smoke-free restaurant it might as well be. The warm-colored walls replace some of the Puget Sound gloom, and the food rounds out the effect. Proprietor Hussein Khazaal treats faithful regulars and new believers to excellent versions of hummus and other standards. He seasons lamb and fresh seafood with saffron and other exquisite spices.
