Pinehurst lies to the north of Northgate, just east of 5th Avenue. This is a largely residential area popular with families thanks to its quality schools and distance of about 8 miles from the center of town. There are few true tourist attractions here, but some significant sights include Northwest Hospital and the sprawling grounds of Pacific Lutheran Cemetery. Like other areas of Seattle, Pinehurst is blessed with abundant parks, which are often a nice change of pace from the busier green spaces in the heart of the city. Review © 2009, Wcities |
