Fire destroyed the previous Bellevue location, but owner Kamal Mroke has recreated his restaurant's consistent service and food in Kirkland. The usual glimmering Indian-restaurant decor overkill is absent here, but the rich aromas are not. Everything on the menu sounds good, but don't over-order because the food is rich. The Saag Paneer is simple but succulent, delicious scooped up with the cloud-soft naan. Curries and tandoor-baked lamb and chicken also stand out. The restaurant is smoke free and has a full bar.
