Every May and June, the festival unveils films for every taste from slapstick to drama and art house. Independent films like The Blair Witch Project get an opportunity to make themselves known in an otherwise cutthroat industry. The festival is three and a half weeks long, and hundreds of films screened citywide. Series tickets (full and partial) go on sale in January.
