Seattle |
This quiet Seattle suburb is perfect for taking a break from the city. Its tree-lined streets and magnificent views of Lake Washington and the mountains beyond make its relative proximity to the University of Washington and the rest of downtown unexpected. The Burke-Gilman Trail, a lengthy bike trail created originally in 1885 by railroad workers to move supplies, runs through View Ridge, as do a number of other smaller trails for hiking and biking.
