In a car-free area |
Calle Álvarez Quintero 9-13 Seville 41004 Spain +34 95 422 5858 |
The building in which this hotel is located dates from the 17th century and was a meeting place for artists. In 1993 it was converted into a hotel and called Hotel Álvarez Quintero. Then in 1998, when the new owners took it over, they gave it a new name that reflected the fact that this was the area where German bankers, Flemish and French merchants and entrepreneurs from Genoa lived during Seville's golden age. At the same time, a new modernist Arabic style has been added. The hotel is on a pedestrian street just a few meters from the cathedral, the Giralda Tower and the shopping district. The bright, airy rooms are set around a palm-tree courtyard and are fully-equipped. The hotel's restaurant - Almazara - is one of the best and specializes in Andalusian cooking, but also does good Basque and international dishes.
