Climbing and rental |
Calle De Salvador Távora Seville 41006 Spain +34 95 462 8402 |
In Seville, you can find diversity in outdoor climbing areas where you can practice your holds. For example, in Cantera de Moron de la Frontera, in Carmona (under the Parador), in Estepa, etc. But if what you're looking for isn't live rock, you do have urban alternatives: the first is the most economical and the oldest, the Triana Bridge. Here all the climbers from the Alpine Club of Seville (Club Alpino de Sevilla) meet up when the sun goes down. And the other alternative, more expensive but not by much, is the climbing wall at the San Pablo Sports Complex (Rocodromo del Polideportivo de San Pablo), where it is necessary to be a member. Every Th after 7:30p, the Alpine Club opens its doors to its members. Here you can sign up and enjoy the four different specialties: rock climbing, mountaineering, speleology (cave exploring), and scuba diving. Upon becoming a member of the club, you can obtain discounts on your purchases at many mountaineering shops in Seville; you can also rent equipment at a low price. Rental is weekly, that is, you can check it out on Thursday and you return it the following Th. One other advantage to being a member of this club is the possibility of using the climbing wall found in the San Pablo facilities. All members in mountaineering or speleology can use it free from M-F, two hours in the morning (11a-1p) and two in the evening (7p-9p). Review © 2007, Wcities |

In the heart of the city you will find this family-run business, that goes back many through generations of harness-making craftsmen. This small establishment is one of the most complete boutiques, both for outfitting the rider and for providing accessories for the horse. Complete equipment for the April Fair, with the obligatory short suit with white ruffled pants, wide-brimmed hat, suspenders, chaps, gaiter, and boots. 'Cowboy' saddles, and for the most charming horses, hair straighteners and shiners. One of their latest jobs had been to restore an old Texas-style saddle for the Sevillian-based international firm Destino Sevilla (formerly Victorio & Lucchino). Review © 2007, Wcities |
