This large restaurant (which seats 150) is accessed from street level via a relatively steep flight of stairs. Inside, the restaurant is usually busy but service is quick and efficient and you won't be kept waiting long to order. The tables are generally very large and there is no music: this is the sort of place that suits large groups rather than an intimate tête-à-tête. The menu is huge and food is usually both delicious and very good value - a set menu for two is from about £13 and drinks are also reasonably priced. Candytown is popular with members of the Chinese community as well as with family, office and business groups. Bear in mind that the entrance stairs are relatively steep and that there is no lift.
