Upon arrival at the Plaza, you will be enchanted with the immaculately clean and rich detail of the furnishings. Every room in the hotel is elegantly decorated. There is a movie theater in the hotel, along with a few upscale shops in the lobby that are worth visiting. Forest Park is right across the street for those wanting to take a leisurely stroll. Do not let the opulent atmosphere intimidate you, because the staff is very friendly and goes out of its way to ensure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

O'Connell's Pub

One of the best hamburgers in town
4652 Shaw Avenue
(South Kingshighway)
St. Louis, MO 63110
United States
+1 314 773 6600
With a history going back to the 1960s and the glory days of Gaslight Square, O'Connell's Pub has long been a treasured hangout for St. Louisans. Gaslight Square and its arty environs are long gone, but O'Connell's still thrives in the South Side home it has had since 1972. The long, dark bar is a friendly one, with a clientele that ranges from academics and artists to businessmen and students. The dining room is decorated with pub signs and pictures of Irish boxers and poets, and is filled with wooden booths and cozy tables. The hamburgers are legendary, and the fish and chips (served only on Fridays) are just as good. Also try the Italian sausage and roast beef sandwiches as well as the selection of great fries and good soups.
