The King's Garden is located in central Stockholm. This park serves dual purposes, as an outdoor concert venue in summer, and an ice-skating rink in winter. It also has an abundance of benches and is surrounded by fountains, restaurants, and cafés. During winter, you can hire a pair of skates and enjoy a few laps around the rink. Review © 2007, Wcities |

The Citizen's House |
Medborgarplatsen Stockholm 118 Sweden +46 (0)8 5082 8508 (Tourist Centre) |
In summer, this Citizen House square is the ideal place to sit down with a cup of coffee and read a good book. There is a library, a public swimming pool, cinemas and the Söderhallarna shopping center located close to this place. Across the street is Björns Trädgård, a little park with an outdoor café and playground. During winter, the square is transformed into an ice-skating rink...so bring your skates along and go skating in the heart of Södermalm. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This modern playground has disabled access. It is a place where all children can move around, handle the playing equipment and participate in the games. Among other things, you will find a raised sandbox, an adventure fortress for games and exercise, indications for the visually impaired and a stable swing that older kids can use, too. The park has animals for the children to meet, including rabbits, hens and sheep. Review © 2007, Wcities |

See if you can find Mio my Mio |
Tegnérlunden Stockholm Sweden +46 (0)8 5082 8508 (Tourist Centre) |
Tegnérlunden is located close to the end of Drottninggatan. August Strindberg writer's den and home, Blå Tornet, is also nearby. This is an oasis of calm in the middle of busy city life for those in need of a break. Admire the pavilion on the hill and the statues of August Strindberg and Astrid Lindgren, and make sure to try sitting on one of the benches: this is, after all, where Bo Vilhelm Olsson sat before he disappeared to the Land Far Away and became Mio my Mio.
