Karlberg palace is beautifully situated by lake Karlberg, and it feels entirely isolated in spite of being located practically in the centre. The palace is used as military barracks today, but if you pass by at night you may see the famous ghost, The White Lady, appear at one of the windows. The palace is not open to the public, but this is a very peaceful and pleasant spot for a stroll, especially when the pulse of the city becomes too fast and unbearable. Review © 2009, Wcities
