A Beautiful Ship turned into a Hostel |
Flaggmansvägen 8 Stockholm 111 49 Sweden +46 (0)8 463 2266 http://www.stfchapman.com |
A beautiful, old sailing boat has been converted into a hostel. Af Chapman offers an adventure, and inexpensive accommodation. But, you wil have to bring in your own sleeping bag. The rooms are locked between 11a and 3p. Hotel Skeppsholmen, which is next to the hostel, is located in an old mansion-like building with a spectacular view. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Scenic waterfront hotel in Old Town |
Skeppsbron 12 Stockholm 111 30 Sweden +46 (0)8 22 3260 http://www.firsthotels.se |
Here's a classic hotel with a stunning view. Rooms facing the waterfront have a superb view of the city. It is only a stone's throw from the Royal Castle. This place is suitable for corporate travelers, who want a central location, and is ideal for the discerning tourist. Most of what Stockholm has to offer is within comfortable walking distance. Cosy hotel with a maritime atmosphere |
Västerlånggatan 22 Stockholm 111 29 Sweden +46 (0)8 5064 0120 http://www.lord-nelson.se |
You will find the magnificent Lord Nelson Hotel right in the middle of Västerlånggatan, the high street of the Old Town. The hotel is small and so are the rooms, but they are quite cosy and decorated like ships' cabins. Most of the rooms are single. There is a bar, but no restaurant. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Yatch restaurant |
Riddarholmen Stockholm 111 28 Sweden +46 (0)8 5451 8780 http://www.malardrottningen.se |
Built in 1924, Mälardrottningen yacht is a romantic accommodation. Its in-house restaurant provides a beautiful view of Riddarfjärden. The ship is tastefully furnished in an antique style. The heavy teak work and the polished brass items add to the cozy atmosphere. Enjoy a drink on the deck while the sun sets. The cabins, with round windows, are small but comfy, and most of them are equipped with shower/WC, a TV, and a telephone. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Small, cosy hotel in the Old Town |
Lilla Nygatan 25 Stockholm 111 28 Sweden +46 8 723 7250 http://www.rica.se |
Rica is a small, cozy, restored house dating back to the seventeenth century. This hotel is centrally located in a quiet part of the enchanting Old Town. Only breakfast is served. Don't worry, the area is lined with restaurants and bars. It's quite difficult to get a room in the summer so book in advance. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Excellent location, luxurious rooms |
Tegelbacken 6 P. O. Box 195 Stockholm 101 23 Sweden +46 (0)8 412 3400 http://www.sheratonstockholm.com |
Modern and luxurious, Sheraton is an excellent choice for both corporate and leisure visitors. You will find yourself right in the city center, opposite the Central Station. Thus, national trains, the Arlanda Express, airport coaches and public city transport are all within easy reach. Sightseeing boats, restaurants, the Old Town and other major attractions are in close proximity as well. All rooms are quiet because of the soundproofing, and the service is first class. You'll also find a restaurant, facilities for the disabled, a casino, an underground car park, a cocktail lounge, and shops within the hotel complex. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Maritime setup in medieval surroundings |
Lilla Nygatan 5 Stockholm 111 28 Sweden +46 (0)8 5064 0000 http://www.victory-hotel.se |
This family—owned hotel was named after Lord Nelson's flagship HMS Victory. The hotel follows the maritime theme and has quite a few antiques. Nelson and Lady Hamilton's love story unravelled in this very place many years ago. One of their love letters is displayed in the lobby. Restaurant Leijontornet is located in the ruins of the Lion Tower (part of Stockholm's defence fortress from the 14th century), in the same building. All rooms are adorned with the portrait of a ship's captain from the turn of the last century. Shipbroker rooms are equipped with a Bang & Olufsen stereo system, and a CD library can be found at the reception. Review © 2007, Wcities |
