Blå Porten's serves excellent meals, but their forte lies in their tempting buffet which consist of baked products, such as cakes, biscuits and traditional shortbread. A stopover at this place is a good way to end a long walk at Djurgården. Digesting the food and the pastries won't be a problem, as you'll find art exhibits at Liljevalchs, just round the corner from here.

You'll also spot chef Erik Lallerstedt walking round the tables and chatting with the guests. He has reason to be proud of his restaurant - the food is excellent, whether it consists of simple home cooking, such as Herring, or something a lot more exclusive.

If you're a nature lover, take a walk around the beautiful garden, with its lovely flowers. The glass-walled café serves home-baked cakes, cookies and pies. There's also sandwiches, soup and salads on the menu. In winter, there's an open fire; but the cafe presents a country-like ambience all through the year.
