Bagels are always found on the menu as are salads and different types of lunches and Desserts. It is impossible to walk away from the lovely Carrot cakes, pastries, tarts, pies, rolls and all the other sweets on display. However, the coffee menue is the most varied and consists of all the possible coffee blends, mixes and combinations. Non-coffee drinkers can choose from various fruity drinks and teas.

Edsbacka welcomes you to fine dining in an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. Executive Chef Christer Lingström creates a seasonally changing menu, using the freshest of ingredients. The restaurant is as popular for its romantic setting with candles lit on each table, as it is for its attractive presentation of delicious dishes. Relish Silltallrik for starters and Whitebait Roe with Marinated Halibut for main course. Although the restaurant has a large dining room, the space seems inadequate after the evening crowd starts pulling in. Therefore, reservations are strongly recommended.

nackastrand@restaurantj.com J is the closest thing you will get to a sailors' bar onshore. Ride a bike or take the ferry from the city to J. It has a boat's sail stretched across the ceiling. The menu features a lot of fish, naturally, but also light summer meals like fresh salads and soup.

Dating back to the seventeenth century, it is situated close to Ulriksdal's Royal Palace. The Swedish flag is ceremonially lowered every evening at sunset, while the Swedish National Anthem is played in the background. Very traditional and aristocratic! In the evenings, you may choose between a monthly prix fixe dinner and the à la carte menu, which lists both Swedish and international specialities. Weekends only, the famous smörgåsbord lasts all afternoon.
