Hospital information in Sydney |
Throughout the city Sydney, NSW |
Reciprocal arrangements mean that visitors from the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Italy, Holland, Finland, Sweden and Malta are entitled to free necessary medical and hospital treatment provided by Australia's National Insurance scheme Medicare. However, this does not cover all eventualities such as dental treatment and ambulance services so it is advisable to make arrangements for adequate medical insurance before leaving home. This is also the case for visitors not covered by the reciprocal medical agreement. If you need medical treatment whilst you are in Sydney which is not an emergency many suburbs have their own medical centres. Review © 2009, Wcities |
