The newly revamped Orson & Blake (by top designer, Ian Halliday) is a drawcard for locals and tourists alike. Textures have been important since the store opened in 1992 and permeate the whole range of homewares, as well as the slightly ethnic--and totally desirable--clothing. Another design concept is the interplay between neutrals and soft and strong colours. While the owners try very hard to stock Australian products, they also actively seek out objects of interest from Asia, Africa and South America.
