This market, in the grounds of a church and school, began life in 1972 as a place for hippies to display their wares for sale. Since its humble beginning, it has grown to encompass over 250 stalls. A stroll around on a Saturday is as much as social event as a place to hunt for bargains and the unusual. You will find everything from antiques and jewellery, to ceramics and clothes. There are also some tempting food stalls. Be prepared for the crowds, the market gets very busy and parking is not easy in the surrounding streets. Review © 2009, Wcities |
