A club with all the extras |
16 Flinders Street Darlinghurst Sydney, NSW 2010 Australia +61 2 9380 8700 http://www.arqsydney.com.au |
A fairly new, gay venue, beginning to make its mark on Sydney's clubbers as a location with the lot. Within the complex are a club, a bar, a wine bar, an oyster bar, a cocktail bar and a restaurant. The nightclub area houses two dance floor areas so there is plenty of room to get sweaty in! There are also Drag shows, a function area and a weekly Monday recovery party. Different levels mean different music vibes are on offer throughout the night. Popular with gay and straight, you get all sorts here. Review © 2007, Wcities |

A Sydney classic, probably something to do with its 17-year history. The service is as good as the food; efficient floor staff ferry fabulous food from kitchen to table, and the decor is clean and simple. There is also an adjoining cocktail bar. There is a certain simple comfortable quality to the food, which includes treats such as Ricotta Rosemary and Rocket Ravioli, Grilled Loin of Lamb, Rib Eye Beef, and fresh seafood, including daily Shucked Oysters. Breakfast fave tries dinner |
359 Crown Street Surry Hills Sydney, NSW 2010 Australia +61 2 9360 4762 |
Regulars swear by the signature ricotta hotcakes and corn fritters, not to mention the creamiest scrambled eggs in Sydney. This is a great spot to people watch and eat Sydney's most celebrated breakfast. Open all day and most of the night, dinner becomes a more sophisticated affair although kinks still need working out of the evening menu. The quality and generous servings are great value; the Schnitzel and Creamy Mash has gained an infamous local reputation. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Friendly and fun atmosphere |
512 Oxford Street Bondi Junction Sydney, NSW 2022 Australia +61 2 9389 5726 |
Where did this pub get its name? In the 1940s, owner Billy looked like a pig, ate and drank like a pig, and treated his customers like pigs. Times have changed somewhat in this bustling local, which is popular with families, backpackers and office workers. The décor is clean and warm and there is a leafy courtyard which is great on summer evenings. The bistro specialises in Malaysian cuisine as well as normal pub fare like steaks, sandwiches and schnitzels. Meals cost AUD3 to AUD9. Review © 2007, Wcities |
