A stroll in the National Park |
Bradleys Head Road Start at Taronga Zoo Ferry Wharf Sydney, NSW +61 2 9255 1788 (The Rocks Visitors Centre) |
From the wharf, a stroll up the hill to your right will bring you to Sydney Harbour National Park, for a choice of three walks. The longest takes you around the foreshore, through Bradleys Head to Chowder Bay (about four hours return). The path is mostly good though there are some fairly steep steps. Bradleys Head offers spectacular Harbour views. Once a cannon emplacement, it features a monument to the four Navy ships that have borne the name HMAS Sydney. The park is home to many varieties of wildlife - it is a favourite nesting place of the ringtail possum. Review © 2009, Wcities |
