Groovy black and white 60s floor tiles, faux-fur chairs to recline in while you are getting shampooed and snipped, and velour chaise lounges in the waiting area--trad, Dad, it is. Off the beaten track, but only just (a five-minute walk from King Street), this is a whole lot cooler than anything even too-funky, bohemian Newtown has to offer.
