Situated in the financial district, close to Pitt Street and George Street, this station is popular with commuters. It is also near to a taxi rank and bus interchange. Access to the platforms is by staircase and escalator. There are public toilets with disabled access, payphones and a range of small shops and eateries. Closed circuit television cameras are in operation and the ticket office is fitted with a hearing loop. This station is also close to Pitt Street Mall, one of Sydney's main shopping areas.
