Finished in 2004, the Bright House Networks Field is home to the Clearwater Threshers, the Phillies' Class A affiliate in the Florida State League, and the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies currently hold their spring practice here, rather than Carpenter Field. Bright House field comes fully equipped with 7000 fixed seats with grass berm seating for an additional 1500, a tiki-hut pavilion in left field, group picnic areas, party suites, children's play area and state-of-the-art video scoreboard. The strawberry is king at this annual festival that takes place in the winter strawberry capital of the world. Every day is jammed with events including the infamous strawberry shortcake-eating contest. Famous music acts, juried shows, a grand parade, an assortment of rides for adults and children, games of chance and a wide variety of food highlight the event. Plant City is a tiny town. Annually, this amphitheater hosts 30-40 events. This $23 million-construction has a 20,000 seating capacity, and is known for being a great concert venue.
