This new Indian cuisine dining spot is a welcome addition to curry-hungry Pinellas County. Both lunch and dinner menus feature such options as Rogan Josh Lamb, Dal, Biryani plus chicken and breads hot from a tandoori clay oven. Full dinners and a la carte selections are available evenings. On Sunday, the restaurant features a lunch buffet. There's a full bar here, too. If you're thinking of joining the lunch bunch here, call ahead to be sure the tandoor is fired up.

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday night, the restaurant features a vegetarian buffet featuring dal and chickpea curries, specialties of India's healthful vegetarian tradition. Mahal's full liquor bar hosts a daily Happy Hour from 5p to 7p. If you're here in December, you can join one of Mahal's cooking classes to learn how to work its magic in your own kitchen.
