Have you always wanted to enjoy a cold beer at the movies? You can here. In fact, you will find a nice selection of both domestic and imported beers, as well as wines and champagnes. The libations help you wash down the tasty pizzas, chicken wings or cheese- and salsa-smothered nachos as you take in a flick. Children at least 6 years of age can accompany their parents; patrons must ordinarily be at least 18 to attend on their own. The theater features mostly independent films. See website for showtimes, ticketing info, menus, special event calendar, merchandise and more.

Going strong since 1976, this is one of the top-ranked arts and crafts shows in the nation. Not your typical craft fair, it also features abstract art with price tags in the tens of thousands of dollars. The organizer says the atmosphere is more like Saks Fifth Avenue. The Bazaar, which has a long waiting list of artists who want to show their work takes place in a bar, so you can sip some spirits while you stroll. A stage features diverse local music groups and the main floor showcases more than 130 artists. You will find people are actually relaxed and casual. Visitors enjoy dancing in between shopping the many aisles of merchandise.

Equality is everyone's birth right and no one has the right to impinge on it! This is the main reason why the Carver library Auditorium was set up in 1938, in honor of George Washington Carver. Set up for the Afro-American community, this center focused on educational, cultural, political, social activities till the late 1950s. It was only in 1976 that it was re-christened the Carver Community Cultural Center. Afro-American artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Lionel Hampton, Paul Robeson, Louis Armstrong and Billy Eckstein have enraptured audiences with their soul touching music. Initially, the Afro-American community was not allowed to join the San Antonio's main cultural center. They were equal to the 'white' Americans, yet they were separate. Today, the Carver center is multi-ethnic and multi-cultural where Visual and Performing Arts pre-dominate. But sometimes history is not easily forgotten and thus, this center pays most attention to its Afro-American community. If Jazz music sets the mood for you, then this is the place to be. Families can plan an evening out at this center because they have family and intimate series. Check the website for details.

Each of these buildings offer private luxury boxes on the second floor while the concession stands are located on the ground floor. The seating arragements are excellent and offer a good view to catch the action. The only drawback of this place is that you have to spend through the roof ($15-18 for minor league matches).

Conveniently located just minutes from DFW, Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center is a full-service meeting and vacationing spot. If you're looking for shopping or relaxation outside of your cushy guest room, you can buy specialty merchandise within the hotel, like Western garb or local jewelry. Treat yourself to a spa day at Relâche. Or have a drink by Lake Grapevine at the Glass Cactus. The place is kid friendly too, with the indoor pool and gardens or outdoor water activities. But above all, this is a consumate business space, with countless meeting rooms, facilities, and amenities.

To be sure, the first thing you think of when someone mentions Houston is not ice hockey. The Aeros, members of the American Hockey League, make Houston synonymous with quality hockey. The Aeros are the primary development team for the National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild. Many of the team's players are on the verge of making it into the NHL, and it shows in how hard they play. With a season that runs from September through April, the action is always fast and furious and tickets are both affordable and fairly easy to acquire, ranging in price from USD10 to USD52.

Come and be a part of the sixth annual International Accordion Festival. Let the music enthrall you. In an age where contemporary instruments have taken the foreground, with little scope for instruments like the accordion, this festival aims at celebrating the old. The festival is held annually at La Villita Historic Arts Village in a beautiful setting - the Riverwalk area. Given a beer garden setting and accordion players strolling around, you'll be transported into some other period of time altogether. Apart from performances by international artistes, enjoy jam sessions. For the slightly more inquisitive, you can enroll for the workshops.

Louisiana Tech football, starring the Bulldogs, blazes the court here at the Joe Aillet Stadium. Some of the game's legendary players like Terry Bradshaw, Roger Carr and Fred Dean have made their mark on the field. The well renovated stadium, opened in 1968 now holds up to 23,000 fans, who go crazy, watching their heroes in action. Now, a member of the Louisiana Tech Athletics Hall of Fame and the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame, the stadium has indeed made a name for itself, being host to nine conference championships during the 1940-1966 period. Games are televised as well, and it's not just the locals who get a bit of action on TV, but the nation at large. A powerful lighting system, a press box, a sky box and numerous refreshment stands make the experience of a game all the more memorable.

A large procession led by young children with candle lights reflecting in their innocent eyes while they sing soft Spanish hymns is what Las Posadas looks like. But this ancient ritual involves a lot more than just parading down the River Walk...the children actually carry figures of Mary and Joseph who are looking for shelter. The procession includes people of all ages and not just children, who participate in this street festival which is a major part of the Mexican pre-Christmas festivities. Banging on doors asking for shelter and walking down the long way, the exhausted children finally get their work's due at the San Fernando cathedral, where the procession ends and the children are treated to a pompous piñata party!

This annual two-week stock show and rodeo, held in the Will Rogers Memorial Center, has served as a great expression of civic pride since its inception in 1896. More than 21,000 head of livestock, including goats, cows, llamas and pigeons, are displayed for prizes each year. Rodeo events, first introduced in 1918, now draw cowboys from all over the South to compete for prizes, which can go as high as $15,000. A dazzling midway with rides and games, a venue for cowboy poetry and a downtown parade are also included in the festivities. Parking can be difficult to find during the stock show, but park-and-ride shuttles are available throughout the city during the event.

This venue has two concert halls in one space. One of them is called The Ballroom, which has a capacity of 1500 and the other is The Studio, which can hold 150 people. Both have separate bars and restrooms, stages, sound and lighting systems, right down to the entrances and exits. The 1920's come alive in this Warehouse with leather sofas and strategically placed antique pieces, but parking can sometimes be a problem. A lot of non-metered street parking with three surface lots is, however, close by.
