This Canadian chain was established in the 1970s in Vancouver. Back then the chain only targeted mountaineers, rock climbers, skiers and hikers; today the retailer has a multi-sport approach to gear and merchandise. The Toronto store opened in 1985 and moved to the 42,000 square foot downtown location between Spadina and Bathurst in 1998. The store not only guarantees quality products, it also maintains a strong commitment to the environment and the outdoor community.
