This festival held each year in the last week of June, since the 1980s, celebrates gay and lesbian freedom. The festival includes several festivities, hundreds of entertainers on stage, a market place, the Family Pride, the Dyke March, and the famous Pride Parade. True to its theme of inclusiveness for all, the festival organizers provide for audio cassettes, Braille maps and guides, scooter and wheelchair accessible washrooms, attendants and wheelchairs. People have the option of voicing their opinion at the community fair where non-government groups come together.
