Don't even think about asking for a Harlequin romance at this bookstore, which is located in the Spadina and Harbord area near the University of Toronto campus. The store is proud of its strong political overtones, providing the country's largest selection of feminist and lesbian works. Founded in 1973, the store also sells handcrafted jewellery, music and hard-to-find periodicals.
