Fresh Mussels as a Tapa |
Moro Zeit, 13 Valencia 46001 Spain +34 96 391 0497 |
A long-established traditional tapas bar that has been serving tasty snacks and drinks in the heart of the old town since 1918. Try the famous freshly-steamed mussels, the broad beans cooked with mint or the potato salad. These are best accompanied by a house wine or Valencian vermouth. Popularly and affectionately known as La Pilarica, it fills up quickly during the weekends and you can't book in advance. The decor is old-fashioned and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Live music every night |
Polo y Peyrolon, 15 Valencia 46021 Spain +34 96 393 3663 |
Valencia's only live music venue that offers concerts nearly every day of the week. You'll hear mainly jazz, although bossa nova, blues, soul and even Latin groups turn up to play from time to time as well. It's a great place to hang out with friends and have a drink. If there's no live music on, you'll find the background music (soul, R&B, jazz or reggae) is more than a good enough substitute. Review © 2007, Wcities |
