Good food, old country atmosphere |

This welcoming Gastown bistro is as close as you will get to Dublin in Vancouver. Specializing in whiskey and beer, it has been raved about since opening in 1998. Sit down to a small meal of Baked Hazelnut Crusted Goat Cheese (CAD7), or go for the bigger and more classic Bangers and Mash (CAD14). Dinners range from CAD13 to CAD18. Even James Joyce's favourite sandwich is on the menu. Enjoy live music that will keep your eyes smiling, whether they are Irish or not. Oddly enough the lunch menu becomes available again each night from 10PM-midnight. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This club has transformed itself into the city's centre for techno and house beats. It has even been rated by Britain's Ministry magazine as one of the top 20 dance clubs in the world. The two-storey building is partitioned into a lounge and dance floor. The upper level contains a more intimate environment, with couches and chairs for chatting. The main floor has a large dance floor with strobe lighting. It is a regular haunt for ravers and techno-heads, with the cover charge set at about CAD10. Review © 2007, Wcities |
