Located downtown on the False Creek waterfront across from B.C. Place, this was once the heart of the city's 1986 World Exposition. The modern building continues to be a popular gathering place. The complex serves as a multiple-use facility, and its waterfront access makes it a popular place for indoor and outdoor community events, concerts and conventions. Part of its current appeal, especially with young people, is the array of shops, restaurants, and pubs that surround it.
