Queen Elizabeth Theatre Grand and stately theatre

This grand venue was built by the city in 1959; today it is home to the Vancouver Opera and provincial ballet. It is large, seating almost 3,000 and featuring a 70-foot wide stage. Performances include opera, ballet, musicals, plays, concerts, telethons and ceremonies. Patrons complement the grand atmosphere with more formal dress, so remember to don your dapper best.
