This young restaurant on the city's west side makes up for the Vancouver's lack of Russian eateries—it has received several local awards, including Best European Restaurant and a Golden Plate Award. The restaurant's namesake and ambience hits the moment you step inside to be confronted by a large, brooding painting of Russia's infamous monk. There is live traditional music almost every night.
