Sip Black Gold As Mama Intended |
1745 Commerical Drive Vancouver, British Columbia V5N Canada +1 604 253 7017 |
Like pretty much every other Italian café on 'the Drive,' Café Calabria has huge porcelain Greco-Roman statues surrounding a massive nautical themed fountain, an almost intimidating assortment of photos championing film stars with a lineage traceable back to the 'old country,' and a life-sized mannequin on horseback in full jousting regalia…on second thought, Café Calabria is not like the other cafes at all! A fine selection of cakes and biscottis will complement your dark espresso macchiato. Check your to-do-list at the door – this place is best enjoyed at a true European café pace. Dedicated to quality |
1300 Robson St Vancouver, BC V6E 1C5 Canada +1 604 661 1400 http://www.odoulsrestaurant.com/ |
O'Doul's began as a sports bar and, over the years, became one of Vancouver's premiere dinner jazz restaurants, as well as one its few restaurants completely dedicated to art and elegance. When you walk in, you will notice the extravagant decor. Its vaulted ceiling, for example, is dominated by an enormous sepia-tone world map. Its West Coast styled menus offer everything from Stacked Ruben on Rye at lunch, to Steamed Whole Nova Scotia Lobster at dinner. Also don't forget to visit its 68-foot mahogany bar, which serves a variety of appetizers and drinks. Review © 2007, Wcities |
